Winners, winners and more winners!

Playing It Close by Kat Latham

Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like last week was crazy busy! Not only did I have two different giveaways going on this blog and one at Lady Scribes, but I also enjoyed several “firsts” with my baby girl Doodle Bug, who’s now ten months old. I took her to her first swim class (no smiles, but no tears either), and we got a baby seat for my husband’s bike and took her for her first ride (again, no smiles but no tears). Even more exciting, this morning she stood on her own for the first time. I would’ve taken a picture, but she was holding an empty wine bottle she’d discovered in our recycling bag. (Mother of the Year, right here.)

Anyway, time for the winners!

The winner of my Contemporaries to Covet giveaway is…SuzGlo! Suz, let me know what online bookstore you want me to order your $10 gift certificate for.

In her comment, Suz said:

I have read several of Kristan Higgins books and my favorite is probably “All I Ever Wanted”. I loved Ian and Cassie and the scene in which they meet at the DMV is laugh out loud funny. And the encounter with the bird (wild turkey? goose? I cannot remember!) toward the end of the book is priceless.

(I totally agree, by the way. LOVED that book.) That means that Suz won a $10 gift certificate for Kristan Higgins, too! I’ll email Kristan and let her know.

Next, we have four winners of an advance e-copy of Playing It Close (three winners from my blog and one from the Lady Scribes blog).  The winners are:

Janina
Tallulah A.
Veronica Rundell
Bette Hansen

Congratulations! Please email me at romancingkatrina [at] gmail.com and let me know what digital format you want the book in.

Don’t forget, everyone, you can win prizes for helping me spread the word about Playing It Close. You’ll get extra points for reviewing it in the first week of its release. If you didn’t win the book this week, it’s available for pre-order at several sites (see below).

Playing It Close

Playing It Close by Kat LathamBook two of the London Legends

Where do you go to escape everything when you’re one of the most famous rugby players in the world? For Liam Callaghan, that place is a remote lodge on Venezuela’s Caribbean coast. Perfect, except he doesn’t exactly want to be alone with his thoughts. Enter Tess Chambers, the ultimate distraction.

Still reeling from a professional disaster that’s made her all but unemployable, Tess understands the desire to move through life as somebody else. So when instantly recognizable Liam uses a fake name, she runs with it and creates a temporary new identity of her own.

Their time spent together in paradise is idyllic but brief—after one passionate night, Liam wakes up to find Tess gone. Returning to London, he’s shocked to learn she’s taken a job with his team’s new sponsor. As the Legends’ captain, he’ll have to not only figure out how to work with the one woman who ever left him wanting more, but also convince her that their feelings in the present mean more than any lies they’ve told in the past.
