Can you help me choose the cover of my Christmas romance?

Hey, everyone! My lovely publisher Montana Born Books sent me two possible covers for my Christmas romance, Three Nights Before Christmas. I think they’re both awesome and can’t choose. Can you help me decide which one’s best? (The only difference is the image at the top.)

I love the one on the left because it fits my story — Lacey’s a train engineer, and she and Austin bond while renovating an old steam train. (I know the couple in the picture is in a car, not a train, but it’s a vehicle so close enough, right?)

And I love the one on the right because hello hotness! But it’s a bit too dark.

What do you think? Tell me LEFT or RIGHT and help me figure out which one draws you in more.

Thank you and have a lovely weekend!

  1. I would agree that the one on the right is too dark. I like it otherwise, but I think I prefer the one on the left. Plus her sweater definitely gives off a wintry vibe.

  2. The one on the left makes me feel claustrophobic 🙂 so I’m going with the right one. Is it possible to make it lighter?

  3. If the hats were a lighter more festive color, I would say go with the one on the right. But as it is now, I would go with the one on the left.

  4. There’s just something about the one on the left that cries out Christmas more than the one on the right. I think it’s the sweaters. So I say, go with the left one.

  5. The one on the right, The picture on the one on the left has already been used by numerous other authors for books.

  6. Left! I think the couple appears more genuinely into each other in that photo. The kiss in the right photo seems a bit posed to me. Plus — the hats are too much and I’m distracted by it.

  7. I like the left one. I like how he is holding her face. I find that very romantic. I’m not so sure about the kiss on the right one. Maybe a little to smooshy?

  8. I like the one on the right but the designer needs to lighten it up and maybe change the colour of one of the beanies and one of the scarves.
