Hi everyone. I’m back from India and can’t wait to share some of my pictures with you. That’s not what today’s post is about, but here’s one of my favorites. I love these kids’ smiles, and how they’re laughing so hard they’re blurry.
And now back to our regularly scheduled program…contemporary romance new releases!
Here’s how it goes for those of you who are new to the blog. Every month, I talk about the contemporary romances coming out that month that I’m most looking forward to reading. You guys leave comments telling me what September contemporaries you’re looking forward to. Next week I’ll choose one person who wins a $10 gift certificate to the online book seller of their choice for themselves AND for the author they mention.
So here’s what’s on my TBR pile.
Hunk for the Holidays by Katie Lane
Always putting business before pleasure, Cassie McPherson works hard for her family’s construction business. That might explain why she doesn’t have a date for the company Christmas party. But it doesn’t quite explain why she’s crazy enough to hire an escort for the event or – crazier still – why she’s dying to unwrap him like a present…
With whiskey-colored eyes and a killer smile, James is one gorgeous hunk who really knows how to fill out a tuxedo. He charms everyone, including Cassie. And when the night ends, the party doesn’t stop. As Cassie falls, literally, into his bed, James falls head over heels in love. Now he has to figure out a way to tell her the truth: he’s not an escort. He’s her family’s fiercest business rival. But all he wants for Christmas is her…

My two cents
Hard to believe holiday romances are already coming out, isn’t it? But I love Katie Lane’s novels, and I’ve been looking forward to Christmas so I’d love to find this one in my stocking in September.
Finally Home by Helen Scott Taylor
As manager of the charming Greyfriar House Hotel, Melanie Marshall loves her job and spending time with her young son. But she can never forget what she ran away from: her late husband’s crimes and her own terrible guilt. Though lonely, Melanie can’t afford to let another man into her life.
But when her boss, gorgeous hotel owner Jack Summers, returns from his supposed wedding without a ring or a wife, Melanie discovers there’s more to him than she ever thought. For one, the ex-soccer star is her son’s idol. But the closer she gets to Jack, the more she pulls away. She can’t share her past. Ever.
For too long, Jack’s protected his scarred heart by letting gold-digging women make him think love didn’t matter. But a sweet single mother and a soccer-crazy little boy change everything. He knows Melanie has secrets. Secrets she’ll have to share if he’s to help her realize she’s finally home.

My two cents
The cover sold me on this one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more effective contemporary romance cover. You can see so much about the love and laughter in their relationship, and I really, really want to read this now.
Giveaway!
Answer at least one of the questions in bold below. By “contemporary romance” I mean romance between human beings set in the present day. It can be romantic suspense, inspirational, erotic, category-length, novellas or whatever.
I’ll choose one winner on Tuesday September 18th. That person will get a $10 gift certificate to the online book retailer of their choice, AND I’ll send the same to the author they mention.
If the winner mentions more than one author, I’ll ask her to choose which one gets the gift certificate.
This is open internationally.
Questions:
What contemporary romance novel(s) being released in September are you looking forward to? Have you read anything by the authors I mentioned? Which of their books do you like best?
They look like good stories and I can’t believe there are holiday stories out already. I am looking forward to Nightingale Way by Emily March.
I have not read either author. They both look very good but unfortunately one is an ebook and so many ones are only coming out in that fashion that I really have to get me an ereader.
I am looking forward to reading:
Katie Lane – Hunk for the Holidays
Beth Ciotta – Fool for Love
LuAnne McLane – Perfect Pitch
Susan Mallery – A Fool’s Gold Christmas
Sheila Roberts – Better Than Chocolate
Raeanne Thayne – Sweet Laurel Falls
I must add Shannon Stacey – All He Ever Needed. Love those Kowalskis. Thought this book was coming out NEXT month. Nice Surprise.
Bentornata! Welcome back, Kat! I have read only one books by Katie Lane & I enjoyed it a lot, therefore I’m really looking forward to her book.
P.S. And the cover is gorgeous!
Wow, your journey looks amazing. It must be excited. Welcome home…
New release in September I looking forward to is Run The Risk by Lori Foster.
Never read the author you mention above. But it sound interesting.
i’m looking forward to Run The Risk by Lori Foster.
i’m going to check the author you mentioend above, never heard before
To be honest I don’t read a ton of contemporaries but I do have favorite authors and Jill Shalvis is one – she has 5 new books coming out and the first that I want is Rescue my Heart.
Shannon Stacey”s latest, All He Ever Needed. Love that series.
I have to get on the Shannon Stacey bandwagon, too, and say I am most excited about her newest book about the Kowalski family, ALL HE EVER NEEDED. Ms. Stacey does such a great job of combining humor and steamy love scenes in her stories!!
I haven’t read any of these authors’ books. I’m looking forward to Jaci Burton’s Playing to win.
I’m really excited about Shannon McKenna’s upcoming release “One Wrong Move.”
I haven’t read either of the two authors that you listed. I just won a book by debut author Elyssa Patrick entitled, As You Wish. It was reviewed today at Dear Author, so I’m looking forward to reading it.
Holiday romances are my favorite and I can’t wait to start reading them. Hunk for the Holidays is definitely on my list, but I am also looking forward to Janet Dailey’s “A Cowboy Under My Christmas Tree.”
I want to go with Nightingale Way by Emily March. I am really hooked on this series so I can’t wait to read this new one.
Lisa Renee Jones has a new book releasing FOLLOW MY LEAD that I think looks really good.
I’m looking very much forward to Rescue My Heart by Jill Shalvis! I loved the first two in this series and can’t wait to read this one! Thank you for the giveaway.
All He Ever Needed by Shannon Stacey is at the top of my list. I hadn’t heard of either of the books you mentioned, so I will have to check them out.
