Just before Christmas, my wonderful friend Matthew Percival took some photos of me for my website and to help publicize my book – proper, professional photos. I even put on makeup.
I’ve narrowed it down to my four favorites, but I need help deciding which one is the best. I’ll tell you one thing, it’s very hard not to look five-months pregnant when you’re…well, five-months pregnant.
So what do you think? Which picture makes me look svelte (ha!) and like the friendly sort of person whose book you’d want to buy?
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Option 4
The bump
This one isn’t a contender for my author photo, but Matt also took a picture of me and my 21-week bump. I won’t get much bigger than this, right?
Which photo do you like best?
Which is your favorite? You can vote above and leave a comment below. Big thanks in advance for helping me decide!
I love option 2 ( second choice is option 1, with the scenery you seem to be kind and romantic; option 2 is more centered it’s for that it’s my first pick for your author picture)
( and you are glowing so no problem at all^^)
I like #3 & 2 the best. But the last one is cute. Congrats again.
You look beautiful in all of those pictures!!! I vote for #2.
I agree, you look beautiful in all of them, but I vote for #2 as well.
Hi kat,
All is beautiful but if have to choose I vote for pic 2. Great with the bump 🙂
I think I would pick #2 and the bump, you look beautiful! ^^
I vote for Option #2
I’m going to vote for #3 just to be different. #2 is good, but it needs a little brightness bump to look more like #1 (which has great lighting).
I’m going with the consensus for #2, although I also do like #3. Actually, they’re all good!
I think all of them are great, but to pick one then I would take #2.
Kat, I could not pick a favorite. I liked them all. 🙂
I like both 3 and 2 in that order… but they are all great… Congrats on your upcoming bundle… babies are great.
I like #2 also. You look fantastic!! \bump/
I think #2 is best overall–love the lighting in #1 and your pose in #3, but #2 has everything! Greats pics, and congrats on the bump!!
They’re all great! But I’d say, like most others, #2, though I really like #3 as well. Many congrats! 🙂
I have to agree with almost everyone above and vote for #2, although they are all very pretty. You won’t regret getting the one with the bump. Good times to remember. Don’t forget to take a picture of the bump just before you go to the hospital.
All of them are beautiful pictures, but if I had to pick one, I’d say #2.
I’m the odd one out – I like #4. It makes you look like you live a dashing cosmopolitan life and have all kinds of interesting stories to tell.
But really, you can’t go wrong with any of them.
I like option 2. I like to be able to see what the author looks like and so I prefer a closer view. Option 1 is probably my second choice, but they all turned out well!
I vote for option 2….awesome pic…look forward to reading your new book too…keep all your fans posted.
I also like #2 and then #1. I think because of the background. You look great in all of them.
Like 2 and 3 best. You look great! And yes, you will get much, much bigger! Sorry.
You look beautiful in all of them but for an author picture I like number 2 best.
So pretty I really like #2 & 3. #2 with the blurred background the focus is on the beauty you are.
have a good one Ann.
I like #2 but they are all good.
+1 for Option 2.
🙂
Thank you all SO much! It sounds like we have a clear winner…but more than that, you’ve all made me feel quite pretty! *muah!* You’re all awesome, and I love you.:)
option 2 (or Option 1) the background is much less busy than the city background
Congrats on the bump!
The one photograph that really called to me is #4 but I would crop it to show everything just left of the pole to focus on the romantic building behind you The architecture of the building on the left of the pole calls to me and makes me think of a wonderful story waiting to be told.
You’re beautiful in all of them, but I love, love, love #2. 🙂
You look great and cannot believe how big your bump – you are more than half way there – didnt realize that.
I love option 3.
In looking again, I like 1 and 2 – cant choose – not as busy a background.
I LOVE the bump, ha! But if I was forced to choose one, I’d select Option #2. I like the focus on your face (lovely smile) and the background is a bit faded. You’re center stage, where you should be.
Trish
Thanks so much for your help, everyone! I’ve changed my photo on my About me page to photo #2. You guys are awesome. 🙂
#2 is a great choice, you look stunning. got the mama glow going on 🙂
also, that is a bunny hill compared to the bump that awaits you come 37-38 weeks. prepare to be amazed.
Oh no! Don’t tell me that! *sticks fingers in ears* LaLaLaLa!
My favorite is No. 2 as well. But you look great in all of them – especially with baby bump. Happy Birthday, Kat. Hope you have a great one. I hope you get someone to sing an even better rendition of Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday.
Aww, thank you, Nancy!
