You guys, how can it possibly be March already?? February flew past in rush of head colds, sneezes and over-productive noses.
I hope your families have stayed healthier than mine has.
Anyway, it’s time to give a shout-out to the contemporary romance authors whose books we’re most looking forward to this month. Hurrah! And, as always, one lucky reader will win a $10 gift certificate for herself AND for the author she mentions. See below for details, but first, here are the March contemporary romances I’m most looking forward to.
Waiting On You by Kristan Higgins
Is your first love worth a second chance…?
Colleen O’Rourke is in love with love…just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis and staying more or less happily single. See, ten years ago, Lucas Campbell broke her heart…an experience Colleen doesn’t want to have again, thanks. Since then, she’s been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting and playing matchmaker to her friends.
But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town, handsome as ever and still the only man who’s ever been able to crack her defenses. Seems like maybe they’ve got some unfinished business waiting for them—but to find out, Colleen has to let her guard down, or risk losing a second chance with the only man she’s ever loved.

Why I want to read it
Anyone who’s read my blog for a while knows I’ve got a massive writer-crush on Kristan Higgins. Her stories always make me cry. I can’t get enough!
A Match Made in Texas by Katie Lane
A MATCH MADE IN TEXAS is the sixth book in Katie Lane’s bestselling, witty and sexy Deep in the Heart of Texas series.
Living with four over-protective brothers is enough to make a good girl go bad. But the day Brianne Cates hits the road for a taste of freedom, she gets more trouble than she bargained for when she’s arrested by a sexy sheriff in mirrored shades. Now doing a stint of community service, she’s not going to let a cowboy cop like Dusty Hicks mess with her newfound independence-even if he awakens every wicked fantasy she’s ever had.In Bramble, Texas, Dusty is the law. That means no leniency for the gorgeous rebel whose highway antics almost got them both killed. The divorced lawman doesn’t need another rich, pampered princess, even if Brianne has the lushest body and sweetest smile in the whole darn state. But even as Brianne proves that she lives to walk on the wild side, Dusty begins to wonder if maybe he has what it takes to tame her….

Giveaway!
Answer at least one of the questions in bold below. By “contemporary romance” I mean romance between human beings set in the present day. It can be romantic suspense, inspirational, erotic, category-length, novellas or whatever.
I’ll randomly choose one winner on Tuesday March 11, 2014. That person will get a $10 gift certificate to the online book retailer of their choice, AND I’ll send the same to the author they mention.
If the winner mentions more than one author, I’ll ask the winner to choose which one gets the gift certificate.
This is open internationally.

M looking forward to “A match made in Texas”
I have read several of Kristan Higgins books and my favorite is probably “All I Ever Wanted”. I loved Ian and Cassie and the scene in which they meet at the DMV is laugh out loud funny. And the encounter with the bird (wild turkey? goose? I cannot remember!) toward the end of the book is priceless.
I’m looking forward to Jaci Burton’s “Hope Ignites.”
I love Kristan and Katie’s books! I’m really looking forward to reading both their books as well as Penny Reid’s Love Hacked (coming out on March 11). Thanks for the chance to win because one can never have too many books! 🙂
Oh, I just love Katie Lane’s “Deep in the Heart of Texas” series too! It’s hard to pick a favorite of the series, but if I had to pick one I’d have to go with “Going Cowboy Crazy”. I can’t wait to read this new one, and Lori Foster’s “Dash of Peril”. There are so many books to choose from this month, but those are at the top of my list.
