Hello hello! Those of you who have followed my blog for long time will know I used to do a monthly feature where I shared the contemporary romances I was most looking forward to each month. I also ask readers to tell me what new releases they’re most looking forward to. One commenter will win a $10 bookstore gift certificate for herself AND one for the author she mentions.
Well, I’m bringing that feature back, baby! Usually I only feature two or three books, but there are so many amazing books out this month that I could only whittle my list down to nine. NINE! Contemporary romance is alive and well, my friends.
So here are the books I’m most looking forward to this month. Tell me yours in the comments!
The List by Anne Calhoun
Matchmaker and stationery shop owner Matilda Davies brings people together. For those on her list, Tilda will find the man or woman of their dreams—whether it’s for an hour or a lifetime. But due to a painful past, the British expat has never put her own name on the list. Instead, she limits herself to emotionless and commitment-free hookups. Then she meets Daniel, who wants not just her body, but also her heart…
Daniel Logan hides the soul of a poet under the suit and tie of an FBI agent. Specializing in financial crimes, he pieces together stories of greed and ensures justice is done. He plays by the rules—until he meets Tilda. He’s drawn in by her passion as well as her mysteriousness. Daniel knows that no matter her secrets, he’s the perfect match for Tilda. But even pleasure doesn’t come with a guarantee…
Why I want it: Because it’s written by Anne Calhoun. Need I say more? Anne writes some of the sexiest, smartest characters I know, and every single one of her books is a keeper. I can’t wait to read this one!

Hero By Night by Sara Jane Stone
He was nobody’s hero until he landed in the wrong bed…
Armed with a golden retriever and a concealed weapons permit, Lena Clark is fighting for normal. She served her country, but the experience left her emotionally numb and estranged from her career-military family. Staying in Independence Falls seems like the first step to reclaiming her life until the town playboy stumbles into her bed…
Chad Summers is living his dream—helicopter logging by day and slipping between the sheets with Mrs. Right Now by night. Until his wild nights threaten his day job, leaving Chad with a choice: prove he can settle down or kiss his dream goodbye. But when he ends up in the wrong bed, the one woman in Independence Falls he can’t touch offers a tempting proposition. Chad is ready and willing to give in to the primal desire to make Lena his at night—on one condition. By day, they pretend their relationship is real.
But their connection extends beyond the bedroom, threatening to turn their sham into reality if Chad can prove he’s the hero Lena needs night and day… forever.
Why I want it: I read Sara Jane’s debut, Command Performance, quite a while ago, and I was so disappointed that she didn’t have a huge backlist for me to glom all over. That book was superb, so I’m looking forward to reading more from her.

Rock Hard by Nalini Singh
In New York Times Bestselling author Nalini Singh’s newest contemporary romance, passion ignites between a gorgeous, sinfully sexy man who built himself up from nothing and a shy woman who has a terrible secret in her past…
Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardroom with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants, and he’ll go after it no-holds-barred.
And what he wants is Charlotte Baird.
Charlotte knows she’s a mouse. Emotionally scarred and painfully shy, she just wants to do her job and remain as invisible as possible. Answer at least one of the questions in bold below. By “contemporary romance” I mean romance between human beings set in the present day. It can be romantic suspense, inspirational, erotic, category-length, novellas or whatever.
I’ll randomly choose one winner on Tuesday March 10, 2015. That person will get a $10 gift certificate to the online book retailer of their choice, AND I’ll send the same to the author they mention.
If the winner mentions more than one author, I’ll ask the winner to choose which one gets the gift certificate.
This is open internationally.

Wow, my TBR list just became so much bigger. These kinds of posts aren’t good for my wallet 🙂
I checked my Amazon wishlist for the new releases & I have come up with these:
* “Until You” by Jeannie Moon (will be released on March 17)
It’s about a 40 y.o. divorcée who is fighting for a custody of her daughter and has a one night stand with a 29 y.o. hockey player. I’m a fan of the older woman/younger man trope.
* “Get Lucky: Six Sexy Romances with an Irish Twist” by Robin Covington, et al.
Six brand new Irish-themed contemporary romances.
I am most looking forward to the release of “Flirting with Fire” by Kate Meader at the end of the month. I read an excerpt some time ago and I was impressed!
I like Anne Calhoun, too, so I am happy to see a new book from her.
And thanks for the link to the great list at H&H.

I am looking forward to Confess by Colleen Hoover.
I am looking forward to reading Chain of Command by HelenKay Dimon (released 9 March). I am not usually a fan of anything military-orientate as I have a dislike of anything that might glamorise war. However, this story of two damaged souls rescuing each other sounds immensely appealing. I love a feisty heroine. I am also looking forward to reading Nalini Singh’s Rock Hard.
I am looking forward to Grace Burrowes’ Kiss Me Hello, Jessica Scott’s Before I Fall and tons of others! Thanks for spotlighting even more titles for me to add to my TBR mountain and thanks for the contest!
I’m looking forward to Anne Calhoun’s The List. I read the blurb a few months back and have been waiting for it since. Haven’t read the author yet, but I suppose that’s easily resolved. :3 I’ve read and enjoyed Kelly Hunter, Megan Crane, and Brighton Walsh. Not enough to have faves. I just finished Willoughby’s On the Surface and am interested to see what happens with Alex and Claire. I loved your Mine Under the Mistletoe.
My highly anticipated releases? Oh, gosh. Let’s start with my drop-everything-and-read book: Sarah Mayberry’s Anticipation (if its March release pushes through). Also: The Trouble with Love by Lauren Layne, Give a Little by Kate Perry, Reconciled for Easter by Noelle Adams, Chain of Command by HelenKay Dimon.
… Huh. Apparently, most of my favourite contemporary authors have some treat for me this month.
I am really excited about The Virgin by Tiffany Reisz and Love After All by Jaci Burton but that is just the beginning of the list.
I was going to say Rock Hard … but I’d forgotten about The List! Now I’m eskeered about what else I forgot. Unraveled by Lorelei James… I know I’m forgetting some :X
I have almost all the books you’ve listed on MY list, but I have to choose…Out of the Game by Kate Willoughby. I’ve read all the books in her ‘In The Zone’ series and loved them, but I have a big soft spot for Tim Hollander from the first book, On The Surface. *dreamy sigh*
KISS ME HELLO by Grace Burrowes tops my list.
I’m waiting for Rock Hard by Nalini Singh. She’s my favourite author from all times. I love her writing and how she can make you into the book. With Rock Addiction it was the first time I read contemporary and I totally loved it. That’s why I’m looking forward to her second book on this saga. I already love T-Rex!!!
Since in Chile it’s impossible to get her books (and the shipping it’s uber expensive), it would be a really awesome gift ♡

I’ve read a bunch of Nalini Singh’s work and I love her paranormal romance stuff. Interesting characters, different points of view and awesome world-building.
I am looking forward to Nalini Singh’s Rock Hard that is to be released in ONE WEEK. *squeal* I have been excited about TRex and Charlotte since Rock Addiction. I have read pretty much all of her other books as well and if you made me pick a favorite it has to be Heart of Obsidian.
Rock Hard and Out of the Game! I’ve read all their books and I’m a big fan of everything they write.
I am looking forward to “This heart of mine” by Brenda Novak.
I’ve been looking forward to Rock Hard for months (since reading book 1), but I just started reading Singh’s Psy-Changeling series and am reasonably optimistic that it will keep me occupied for a week.
I’m really looking forward to Karen Robards newest Dr. Charlotte Stone book The Last TIme I Saw Her.
I’ve been waiting for Nalini Singh’s Rock Hard since Charlotte threw that stapler at her new boss’ head. *giggles*
I got ARCs of the first 3 books in the Bachelor Auction series and I absolutely loved them. I can’t wait for the next 3.
I’m looking forward to Rock Hard by Nalini Singh.
These all sound good, especially your entry in the bachelor auction series. Plus, I just checked the releases for the month and saw that the last of Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive series, Deep, is being released on March 31. Huge squee. Can’t wait till the end of the month for that one!
I would have to say Confess by Colleen Hoover. I love her books. Each one has been different and they never fail to make me laugh and cry. She’s also very giving and generous. She just started a charity and donated $11,000+ to a charity from the proceeds of signed books. And she’s going to make it a monthly thing!
Annie West’s The Sheikh’s Princess Bride tops my list. I just love Annie’s books….
Captive!!!!
I like Jessica Scott’s Coming Home series and It’s Always Been You releases on 3/31.
