After nearly 300 posts and a hell of a good time with WordPress.com, I’ve moved my blog over here so I could have more room to grow.
I couldn’t automagically bring my subscribers with me, though, so I’m here today to seduce you into subscribing.
What will you get?
How about:
- weekly giveaways
- writing tips
- interviews with your favorite romance authors
- and posts about how I blew my nose on my husband’s shirt…while he was still wearing it?
Let’s ignore that last one for now.
Here are some of the authors who’ll be stopping by for a chat and to give away their latest book over the next few months:
- Amie Denman
- Sherry Thomas
- Meredith Duran
- Suzanne Johnson
- Julie James
- Roxanne St. Claire
- Catherine Mann
*swoons* Some of my all-time favorite writers!
Still need more?
Okay, how about this? Everyone who comments on any post by March 13th will be entered in a grand prize drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the online bookstore of your choice.
(I know it’s not a free Kindle, but hey – I’m a charity worker.)
Questions?
Answers:
How will you choose winners?
On March 13th, I’ll count up how many comments I’ve had since today (February 13th, 2012). I’ll use Random.org to ding ding ding! select a winner.
That means the more times you comment between now and March 13th – on any post, even if it’s an old one – the better your chance of winning. Subscribing to the blog will let you know when I’ve published a new post you can comment on.
Yes, this is open internationally.
What else can I get from this site?
Okay, this is just a little thing, but one of my favorite things about my new site is a plugin called CommentLuv. When you leave a comment, if you have a blog of your own and put the address in, CommentLuv will search through recent posts on your own blog and let you select one to link to at the bottom of your comment.
I’m always flattered when people take the time to comment on my posts, so giving you more opportunities to link to your own blog seems like a win/win to me.
I also love this because it’ll make it easier for me and my community to see the awesome stuff other people are writing. Who knows what you’ll discover, or who will discover you?
That’s it! Go forth and subscribe, explore, and let me know what you think.
Look forward to hanging out with you more!
Kat
What is the difference between this site and what you will do on wordpress.org?
Hi Marijane. It’s the same content but this is my new web address. I will only be posting here from now on, so if you’re subscribed to readericreatedhim.wordpress.com then you won’t get any more updates from me.
Congrats on your move! I like the looks of everything so far.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
