I don’t know about you, but I’m totally addicted to the Olympics. I didn’t manage to get any tickets, but I was in London the first day Brits won gold, and Tower Bridge was beautifully lit up (but also had a sponsorship ad on it, which was disappointing).
One thing I love is how emotional everyone on the BBC is getting as they support the British team – especially when they’re covering minority sports like judo and rowing.
I’m amazed by all of the athletes, and some of them have brought me to tears. I love it that “regular” people – like the Army officer and PE teacher who won gold in rowing for Britain – can show how passion, determination and dedication lead to amazing things.
All through the Olympics, though, I’ve felt like a lazy lard ass. Here’s a video that makes me feel particularly bad for not being able to do a single push-up.
Seriously, if a freakin’ bus can do it, I should be able to too, right?
Do you have a favorite Olympic moment?
You are not alone, I can’t do pushups either lol. I too am addicted to the Olympics and watch it all. So many wonderful stories. I can’t imagine what they go through for 4 yrs. for sometimes just a moment of glory or worse, defeat.
It’s unbelievable what Olympians put themselves through, isn’t it, catslady? I’m completely in awe.
I have enjoyed watching the games over the last two weeks and will miss it! I think London did a wonderful job of hosting this event. Some of my favorite moments have been during the outdoor events because that gave me a chance to see some beautiful scenery.
You’re right, Suz Glo – London’s such a gorgeous setting for an event like the Olympics. I’ll miss watching it, too!
Nice video.
