Contemporaries to covet in November

Hands up, who’s shocked it’s already November? The holidays are practically here – and it really feels like it here in the Netherlands. My town has strung up some pretty lights along our street and it won’t be long before the canals freeze and people start skating to work.

Because it’s the first Monday of the month, we have our special giveaway focusing on the loveliness that is contemporary romance.

For those of you who are new here, at the beginning of every month I tell you a couple of the upcoming contemporary romances I’m most looking forward to. You tell me the same and one person will win a $10 gift certificate for herself AND for the author.

See below for details, but first here are the November contemporary romance releases I’m coveting.

Exposed to You by Beth Kery

Losing control is just the beginning…

Exposed to You“What would you do if the sexiest man in the world was bent on bringing you unbearable pleasure again and again? Joy Hightower wasn’t sure she could survive the experience…or live without it.”

It’s not often you’re hired to paint a body tattoo–and what a body–on a total stranger at a Hollywood film set. A reserved and careful art teacher, Joy would never forget it. In a rare fit of raw desire she gave herself completely, knowing she’d never see him again, or ever repeat such a shameless, naked impulse.

Little did she know, the man with whom she shared that lightning bolt of lust was star Everett Hughes. For Everett, women and sex came as easily as fame. But how could he hope to convince the guarded Joy that beneath the hard body and sexy façade of celebrity was a real man who wanted only one, real woman?

In the heat of an intoxicating affair, Everett endeavors to break down her barriers, gain her trust, and expose himself as the real deal. But can Joy do the same, and reveal to him the vulnerable woman who longs to be loved, wanted, and desired forever?

My two cents

I just read my first Beth Kery novel and OH MY GOOD GRACIOUS! *fans face* Talk about smokin’! Dear Author has the first chapter of Exposed to You and now I’m desperate to read it. Do I really have to wait till tomorrow for it to come out??

Rescue My Heart by Jill Shalvis

She never wants a hero…

Rescue My HeartAfter a tragic stint in the National Guards, Adam Connelly returns to Idaho and to Belle Haven, the animal shelter he owns with his brothers. All Adam wants is to be alone. Then he opens the door to the past—the woman whose heart he once broke. Still gorgeous, still tough-as-nails, but this time, unusually vulnerable.

Holly learned the hard way to never depend on a man for anything. Now, of all men, Adam is the last one she wants to see, and the only one she needs. Her father has gone missing in the Bitterroot Mountains and she could use someone with tracking skills to help find him.

For Holly and Adam, each with their ghosts, a trek this desperate, this unpredictable, and this intimate, will have its share of risks—including opening their hearts one more time.

My two cents

My complete adoration for Jill Shalvis is no secret. Not only does she write brilliant contemporary romance but she writes a hell of a lot of it. I love her humor but most of all I love her heroes – can I get an AMEN!

Giveaway!

Answer at least one of the questions in bold below. By “contemporary romance” I mean romance between human beings set in the present day. It can be romantic suspense, inspirational, erotic, category-length, novellas or whatever.

I’ll choose one winner on Tuesday November 13th. That person will get a $10 gift certificate to the online book retailer of their choice, AND I’ll send the same to the author they mention.
If the winner mentions more than one author, I’ll ask her to choose which one gets the gift certificate.

This is open internationally.

Questions:
What contemporary romance novel(s) being released in November are you looking forward to? Have you read anything by the authors I mentioned? Which of their books do you like best?

  1. Out of the contemporary romance releases in November, I am most looking forward to Rescue My Heart by Jill Shalvis! I love her books and my favourite of hers would be Forever and a Day <3

As for Beth Kery, I haven't had a chance to read her books yet but I have heard how steamy her books are!

Thanks for the awesome giveaway 🙂

  2. Sounds like The Netherlands are gearing up for the winter. How long have you lived there? I believe you told me, but I don’t remember.

Not sure there are a lot of contemps coming out that are on my list – would have to ck some of the dates. But I love Carolyn Brown and she has Hidden Secrets I think coming out in Nov.

  3. Sarah Mayberry’s latest, Suddenly You, is out this month and I am very ready to read it. She is a wonderful storyteller.

  4. I am going to have to go with Rescue My Heart by Jill Shalvis. I love her books. I have read a lot of her Lucky Harbor books and I can’t just pick one of those out as my favorite. Forever and a Day was the last one I read but can’t say it was the best because they were all good.

  5. I am looking forward to read “The perfect hope” by Nora Roberts & “The marriage mistake” by Jennifer Probst, which both are being released tomorrow. I have read a book by Jill Shalvis (book 1 of the attraction series), but I have not read much about her to make up my mind what book or serie I like best.

  6. I love Jill Shalvis and I’ve heard this book is really good. As for the Beth Kery book, it’s got so much going for it with an actor hero, a heroine with medical problems, and its supposed to be really hot to boot, so I definitely want to read it. Aside from them, Shannon Stacey has another book in the Kowalski series coming out, so it’s going to be a good month

  7. Hi Kat,

I haven’t planned to buy anything this month, although “Exposed to You” sounds really good. I’ll have to think about it.

  8. I’m also looking very much forward to the release of the two books above! And I also can’t wait for the release of Elle Kennedy’s next book in her Out of Uniform series as well as Cherry Lynn’s new book with Samhain.

  9. I’m most looking forward to Lore Leigh- Nauti Temptress, Lauren Dane – Tart and Jill Shalvis – Rescue My Heart.
